Good Afternoon Pocasset Families, It's Parent Teacher Conference Time at Pocasset! Tiverton's February Conferences are VIRTUAL and are on 2/14/24 from 5-8 pm and 2/15/24 from 3:50-5:30 pm! You can sign up right online and get your appointment link immediately. A Google account (or Gmail) is required to use our on-line appointment request format. Please contact our main office with any questions or if you do not have access to a Google (Gmail) account. Our office team will be happy to assist you at (401) 624-6654 or by emailing dtavares@tivertonschools.org. Look for the name of the teacher you wish to meet with and click on their name. Your screen may default to today's date. The system will offer a hyperlink to the first available appointment listed as "Next Available appointment on". Click the hyperlink to view available time slots. Users can hover their mouse over each time slot to see the actual appointment time. After selecting your preference Please be sure to include your child's name for ease of reference. Once you have entered your information, make note of your scheduled time and select "Save". Each appointment schedule will have a Google Meet Link provided to you for the appointment. If you should require additional time or need any help with Google Meet, please contact the main office. Good Afternoon Pocasset Families, We'd like to update our Pocasset Family Directory this year. I am including a Google Forms link for you to fill out https://forms.gle/EgDU6iH1j3CwzG198. There are only a few questions. The due date is next Friday, February 2, 2024. You will receive a list of parent information for your child's class the following week. This information then can be used to send out playdate or birthday invites. We'd prefer that birthday invites are sent directly to parents instead of sending invites into school, especially since many people only invite a small amount of kids to a party. Good Afternoon Pocasset Families, It's time for our Annual 2024 Snowflake Ball! What is the Snowflake Ball? It's a time when Pocasset students (ONLY) can get dressed up fancy and come to a student dance at Pocasset. It is a free Pocasset students only event. This is not a drop-off event. Every student MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian 18 years old or older in case a child gets injured (which we, of course, hope won't happen). This is a dark and loud event, similar to the PTO Halloween Party. It will probably be too much for most children 4 and under. In order for our event to be a success, we need volunteers! Today Pocasset School was visited by the Grinch! The Grinch posed for pictures with all the students and even Blue in our gym. Many thanks today to the Pocasset PTO and Town Councilor David Paull for a great, fun and festive morning at Pocasset!

Good Morning Pocasset Families, Today our school was visited by The Grinch!! He took pictures with all the students. Our PTO will be printing out all the pictures and students will get to take home their picture on Friday, December 22 (our last day of school before vacation). Many thanks to our PTO and to Tiverton Town Councilor David Paull for being such a good sport (and a fabulous Grinch)! Good Evening Pocasset Families, Below is the 2023 Pocasset PTO Holiday Shop Flyer. It's always such a fun event for our students, teachers, staff, and PTO volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the Sign Up Genius link, and remember: all volunteers in RI schools MUST have a valid RI BCI. PTO will be sending home with children soon an envelope for families to fill out who their child will be shopping for, and you can place either cash or a check (written out to Pocasset PTO) in the envelope. Pocasset's Winter Service Project with the Izzy Foundation (Hasbro Children's Hospital).

Good Morning, Please see the attached flyer about our School-Wide Winter Service Project. We're very excited to be partnering with the Izzy Project from Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence for this project. Children who are receiving long-term or significant medical assistance will receive from Pocasset art supplies the children can use to help pass along the long hospital days and nights, especially during the holidays. We are collecting items this week and next week. Our last collection day will be Friday, December 8, so our coordinators (Nurse Duarte and Mrs. Simmons) will have time to deliver the items to Hasbro during this holiday season.
