The Fort Barton PTO has teamed up with Macray's Seafood to raise money for our Fort Barton students!
Dine out on Thursday, May 25th from 12-8pm and 20% of sales will be donated to the Fort Barton PTO.

Pre-registration is for students who are new to Tiverton Public Schools only. All registrations are completed utilizing the Online Registration Portal. Registration information may be submitted at your convenience from a computer or Chromebook at home, or via a kiosk located at our administration office Monday-Friday. The Online Registration Portal will not work on a cell phone. Please call 401-816-0466 to schedule access to the kiosk.
Kindergarten Registration: Every child who has attained or will have attained five (5) years of age on or before September 1 of any school year shall be eligible to attend kindergarten during all the days that the kindergartens are in session during the school year.

Reminder: Teacher Professional Development/Distance Learning Day on tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 25th.
The School Committee will receive a Special Education Services presentation followed by an Open Forum on 1/24 at 7 pm in THS library. Please join us.
Starting next school year, the Tiverton School Committee in conjunction with the administration is considering providing all special education services in our schools and removing the district from the Newport County Regional Special Education Program.
To help make the best decision on this matter the School Committee will receive a presentation on the reason and rationale for this recommendation, followed by an Open Forum for staff and community members to offer their feedback/input.

Tiverton School District Official Statement on SRO
As of December 23rd, 2022, our SRO is no longer employed by the Tiverton School District. We were made aware of a situation and are working with the proper authorities as required.
No students were harmed or in harms way in the reported incidents, and Tiverton Police continues to provide SRO support for the School District.

As a gentle reminder for tomorrow, Friday, October 7th, the three elementary schools have an early release day. All Elementary schools will have a dismissal time of 12:00 PM. Elementary School lunch will be served. If you are in need of child care for that afternoon, the childcare program known as Tiger Cubs is available for a nominal fee. Fort Barton Elementary School and Tiverton Fire Department place safety first!
Our Tigers learned about the gear and tools that our hometown heroes use on their emergency calls to help keep our community safe.
Students also had the opportunity to make their way through the smoke simulation where they practiced staying low to the ground and feeling doors for hot temperatures before opening them to a safe exit.
