Dear Tiverton Parents and Guardians,
As we transition from September into October, the Tiverton School System continues to thrive. Each day starts with our before-school programs, seamlessly leading into a full day of teaching and learning. Our dedicated teachers consistently utilize best practices to deliver a robust curriculum, supported by abundant technological resources.
Beyond the classroom, our middle and high school athletic teams are competing at high levels, showcasing their talents and commitment. Additionally, our afterschool care program remains a reliable resource for parents who need support.
In the coming weeks, we will be upgrading security systems across all five schools to further enhance safety. However, it’s important to note that our current systems are fully operational, and regular safety drills and training are taking place to ensure the well-being of everyone.
When viewed as a whole, the Tiverton School System continues to provide an exceptional environment for learning, growth, and development.
INTERNET ACCESS
If any family needs access to the Internet we will provide a working hotspot. If you need a hotspot don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Director of Technology, Dan Andrade at dandrade@tivertonschools.org or call (401) 624-8475.
FOOD PANTRY
We have partnered with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, www.mlkccenter.org, to start a Food Bank at Tiverton High School. Families of Tiverton Public School students facing food insecurity may visit the Tiverton High School Food Bank every Tuesday from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (excluding school holidays). When visiting the food bank, please enter through the main doors, and turn left after the office. Please bring your own bags if you have them. The only requirement is that families will need to provide their student's name(s) and number per household. Please contact Lee Ann McCarthy at lmccarthy@tivertonschools.org for more information.
