Dear Tiverton Parents and Guardians,
Reflecting on Success and Anticipating a Bright New Year
As we embark on the holiday recess, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your continued support and to reflect on the achievements we've celebrated together over the past 75 days of school.
Our dedicated staff has worked tirelessly, and I am proud to share some of the notable successes we've accomplished:
THS Recognition: Tiverton High School earned a well-deserved place on the College Board Honor Roll for our commitment to expanding Advanced Placement (AP) offerings and increasing student participation.
Top Rankings: TMS, Ranger, and Fort Barton were recognized as top schools by US News and World Report, a testament to the exceptional education our students receive.
District of Distinction: The entire district received accolades from District Administration, being recognized as a District of Distinction for our innovative work with technology.
Record-Setting Graduation Rate: We are thrilled to report that our graduation rate has reached all-time highs over the past two years, reflecting the dedication of both our students and educators.
College Acceptances: More of our students are achieving their dreams of attending top-rated colleges and universities, a testament to their hard work and the guidance of our supportive community.
CTE Recognition: The Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings at THS have garnered positive recognition from the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE), showcasing the quality and diversity of our educational programs.
Strong Accreditation Report: THS received a glowing accreditation report from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. That final report can be found here:
As we celebrate these accomplishments, we are eagerly anticipating the opportunities and challenges that the New Year will bring. With your continued support, we look forward to building on our successes and achieving even greater milestones in the coming year.
On behalf of the entire Tiverton School District, I extend warm wishes for a joyful holiday season. May this time be filled with moments of reflection, gratitude, and connection with loved ones.
Happy Holidays to the Tiverton Community!,
Dr. Sanchioni

SCHOOL SECURITY & SAFETY
I am pleased to share with you the outcomes of the recent safety and security audit conducted by the Office of Homeland Security at all five of our schools.
Our schools were acknowledged for successfully implementing a range of top-tier safety and security measures, underscoring our unwavering commitment to prioritizing the well-being of our students, staff, and visitors.
While the audit recognized our achievements, it also provided valuable recommendations, which we are diligently addressing. Our dedication to continuous improvement ensures that we not only meet but exceed safety standards, creating a secure environment for everyone within our school community.
It's worth noting that this marks the second safety and security audit for the three elementary schools and middle school, and the third for Tiverton High School. These ongoing assessments all completed within the last year reflect our proactive approach to maintaining the highest standards of safety across all educational levels.
As we move forward, rest assured that the safety of our school community remains our paramount concern. We appreciate your support and cooperation in fostering an environment where learning can thrive in a safe and secure setting.
The next meeting of the District Safety Committee is Tuesday, January 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library.
COVID is still around and we are seeing positive cases come into school. To be sure your child is not positive you can obtain free COVID Test kits at:
