Dear Tiverton Public Schools Community,
With great anticipation we are looking forward to welcoming your children to our five schools this Thursday. Lots of great work has been done to prepare our schools for our students' arrival.
SCHOOL INFORMATION
Road Closures:
Currently, Bulgarmarsh Road is closed from Fish road up to Brayton Road. However, on Thursday (first day of school) that road will become open. The next road closure will take place on September 11th when a portion of Fish Road will be closed. As a result:
Students in the Cottrell Farm neighborhood will be bussed to and from Sakonnet Ridge Road.
Buses picking up in the north end will be utilizing Eagleville Road until Fish Road is reopened.

The next School Committee meeting is Tuesday, September 5th at 7:00 P.M. in the high school library. This is a joint meeting with the Town Council and the agenda will be focused on funding capital projects for the Tiverton Public Schools.
School Volunteers
For school volunteers: Under Rhode Island General Laws § 16-2-18-4, any person who is a current or prospective volunteer of a private or public school and who may have direct and unmonitored contact with children and/ or students on school premises, is required to undergo a state criminal background check.

Safety Committee TPS Safety Committee
The Tiverton School Committee is in the process of forming a district-wide Safety Committee. The Safety Committee is being established for the purpose of reviewing, enhancing and ensuring the execution of appropriate safety protocols at all five schools. If you are interested in joining this committee please see the link attached above for more information.
COMMUNITY NOTICES
Early Risers Before School Program: Should you need to drop your child off at our schools prior to the scheduled start time, please consider enrolling your child in our Early Risers Program that is available to all Fort Barton, Pocasset, Ranger and TMS students for a nominal fee. The Tiverton Public Schools is proud to offer this successful before school program for any students in grades K - 8. The Early Risers Program allows families to drop off students anytime after 6:45 AM at the designated location. Early Risers is open every day that school is open and is a fun and friendly program that allows for students to socialize through crafting and other activities. For more information on the Early Risers Program, visit our website HERE. Registration is required to participate in this program. It is really important for planning purposes, to register your child as soon as possible. Your timely registration is greatly appreciated so that the Early Risers Program Coordinator can continue to provide an excellent program for your child.
