Response to Intervention

Tiverton's educators monitor student progress closely, through everyday instruction as well as the use of benchmark assessments, and progress monitoring probes. This information is used to identify students in need of  supplemental instruction, different methods of instruction, remediation, and/or enrichment.

All of our schools have Response to Intervention (RTI) Coordinators, Reading Specialists, Math Interventionists, Social Workers, Psychologists, and School Nurse Teachers as well as other specialists.

RTI Teams at each school collaborate with families to develop personalized supports, interventions, accommodations and growth targets for our students. These interventions address reading, mathematics, and social emotional learning to support school success.
